Erya is a Cornish verb which means to challenge, defy, fly in the face of which we feels captures our commitment to breaking down barriers and empowering people to live the lives they choose.
We have tried to keep our website simple as we are much better at explaining what we do in person so we can find out more about you! If we can't help then we are pretty confident we will know someone who will!
Our story
Established in 2015, ERYA is a community interest company working alongside people with learning disabilities, people who access support services, and carers. We support individuals exercise choice, build confidence and shape lives that work for them.
What we do
We aim to challenge, celebrate and innovate health and social care provision across Cornwall through advocacy, learning, training and development. We also organise social events where people can meet friends, build relationships and spend meaningful time together. These everyday opportunities can too often be taken for granted and we want to change that!
Our partners
We collaborate with people and organisations across the South West and beyond, including in Warwickshire, Birmingham and Blackpool. Our partners share our commitment, values and vision for more inclusive communities.
